Design Philosophy
Design should be simple, uncluttered and fit the needs of the client. My approach to design starts with the question: "What feeling do you want your site to express when it's completed?"
Getting a response of "evil, yet professional" steers me towards a design concept that will meet that client's need upon completion.
(Yes, I really did get that response from a cilent!)
Design Tools
I use straight HTML and CSS for 90% of my designs. In some cases I need to utilize databases, PHP, JavaScript and limited Flash to fully utilize the design concept. However, I feel that extensive use of Java and Flash can be counterintuitive to the final product.
